Service Description

Our IEP Prep Online Meetings are perfect for parents who need assistance anywhere in the IEP process. We can answer your questions about the school's initial and triennial IEP testing results, IEP progress reports or even the IEP itself. We can help parents assess whether their children are making appropriate educational progress under their IEP and whether additional progress monitoring, educational programs and/or services should be considered. In addition, we can help parents prioritize issues for upcoming IEP meetings and devise strategies for tackling those issues. Also, we can help parents discover pathways forward to ensure appropriate educational progress, whether by way of an independent educational evaluation (IEE) or by ensuring the current programs are being implemented with fidelity, and anything in between . Sometimes, parents come to us because they know something is not right but cannot figure out why their child does not seem to be making progress while the school team is indicating otherwise. In these situations, we can help parents come up with a plan for investigating whether there is a problem. We are happy to use the time during these meetings as tool to mentor parents and other advocates. We will not attend IEP meetings by way of these appointments but are happy to discuss the possibility of doing so during these IEP Prep Online Meetings. Our one-hour meetings are best for an initial consult and our two hour meetings are better suited for a follow-up meeting with us. But, as the parent, you know your needs and can book either the one or two hour meeting with us at any time.
